We walked off the boat this morning to drums beating and Polynesian dancers arriving on small boats, along with many other small boats and outriggers. Tahiti welcomed Paul Meilhat SMA Vendee solo racer with open arms after his withdraw from third place. He left the Vendee race because of a 40 centimeters crack on his keel jack, according to EuroSport.
Considering Wade continues to talk about about converting a race boat to a cruising boat it was nice to see one up close. From the outside he doesn’t think that he would be able to stand up inside, but maybe we’ll get tour and see.
The weather is starting to look very good for us to leave on Sunday and make our slow return back to Hawaii.
