Pandanus Fruit is a great source for natural vitamins and taste yummy too. To prepare pull the almost kernel like from the bunch and place in boiling water. Boil until soft, then serve. Many islanders give the fruit to their children because of the vitamins but especially for babies it’s the primary baby food. Once the Pandanus as cooled from boiling on the soft or narrow end scoop out with a baby spoon to serve to the baby. For toddlers that are teething, once cooled after boiling, give the entire kernel to the child and let them chew on the soft or narrow end.
