We made it to the northeast village and passage. We left with good visibility and only had one squall during our transit. We arrived and fired up the Wirie, our WiFi amplifier, and were so excited to have an internet connection through ViniSpot. To our dismay the connection is a crawl. Sometimes waiting for a page to load is worse than not having a connection at all. So this update is coming via SSB, Sailmail, and the post by email feature in WordPress Jetpack (once again). We were hoping to post a picture of our very sad garden because we had to toss several plants today.
We plan to hang out here until we figure out the weather to the Marquesas or decide to motor to Raroia. We’ve used a bit of fuel and to our knowledge the next place to refill is going to be in the Marquesas which is a three to four day sail. We last refueled in Tahiti and burned through at least half thus far.
We’re excited that we heard of a lady bought an entire bowl of black pearls at a really good price here. Additionally, there are supposedly two bakeries and one grocery store or magazine, Yum yum!
Cheers,
Wade and Sara
