We are migrating North! We did not plan to be traveling for as long as we have been these past few months. Our original plan was to work on Wade’s farm in Iowa, as he hasn’t been back in several years. But as a benefit of working remotely we have been able to be flexible with our travel plans.
About a month ago Florida just wasn’t warm enough so we hopped on a plane to watch the sunrise in Key West and set in the clouds over Oahu Hawaii. We enjoyed our time visiting family and friends, but it was different not having our boat to take out on the water. We spent time barbecuing on the beach, the Kapilina Beach Home hot tub, and catching Lana Del Rey at the Waikiki Shell. We were dying to swim, but honestly it was too cold, haha. Kind of funny coming from us. As we flew back to Florida Wade caught a cold and didn’t want to risk getting other family sick so we stayed in Key West for St. Patrick’s Day.
We have had lovely time resting, and normally we’re all about writing in detail, but this has been a nice break. We are on our way back to Iowa and stopping to see family and friends on our trip back north. We hope to be back at our boat in Kodiak Alaska sometime in May so the adventure may continue.
