We stocked up on so much fruit before we left we have been eating each piece in order of what is the most ripen. Today we had several mangoes become ripe so we pressure canned five jam jars. The ripest mangoes we used for mango ice cream that will hopefully be fully frozen by tomorrow.
The wind picked up a little last night so we could shut off the engine for a few hours, but sadly by morning we had to turn back on the engine and pull in the sails because there again was no wind again. Last nights weather indicated the ITCZ is located between 4 to 5 degrees north so we are continuing on our northerly course.
We were very surprised to see several fishing vessels from Busan South Korea that continued to troll back and forth across our course. It is so weird to see boats out this far when you think you’re alone.
Cheers,
Wade and Sara
