We met Joy on Cudjoe Key while we were out for an afternoon bike ride. She heard Sara run through a vacant lot shouting back to Wade, “You can see the sun from here,” just trying to get a glimpse of the sun setting and Joy said from her lovely balcony, “The view is better up here”, and waived for Sara to come upstairs. Sara waived to Wade still on his bike on the street and we caught the end of the sun setting. There was an instant connection. Joy invited us over for dinner and another sunset for the next day and we enjoyed an evening of laughter and music with new friends.
