Thankfully the wave and swell height decreased to a more comfortable range of 6 to 8 feet. We were able to put out full sail and maintain our 7 knot speed average with the wind speed average decreasing to 14 knots. But slowly as we have left French Polynesia the water temperature has gotten cooler and we are now below 80 degrees. Last night was so cold both of us had to use our fowl weather jackets. We are not really sure if the weather is that much colder or we are just used to warmer temperatures. Wade is more comfortable in colder weather and only wore his fowl weather jacket and shorts today. Sara has been wearing a hat, gloves, socks, fuzzy house shoes, long pants, a tank top, and a fowl weather jacket all day, haha. Wade teased her about how she will handle the Alaskan weather, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
Cheers,
Wade and Sara
