Yes, only about 125 more bananas to go (take one down, pass it around, 124 more bananas hanging around). We ate several, froze some, and dehydrated a bunch too. Unfortunately, our solar power was diminishing around 5 pm so we had to unplug the dehydrator and we can finish off the bananas in the morning. Sadly, bananas appear to take longer than a day to dehydrate, but they are close to done.
No ship nor voice on the radio has been heard in over two days, so things remain quiet. However the wind has been increasing along with the waves. Just before dark the wind is blowing in the low 20 knot range. And at noon our position was 2 degrees 46’S and 158 degrees 44’W. We traveled only 111 miles over the last 24 hours (slow going sailing as close to the wind as possible in these bigger seas) and our course is presently 185 degrees due to a wind switch to more out of the east. We need to make a course of 173 degrees to reach Penrhyn, which was 374 miles away at noon, so hopefully the wind switches back to a little more easterly.
