Anchored Between Four Seasons and St. Regis Bora Bora

Around six years ago Sara was in Auburn Alabama going to college and a friend of hers asked to help research destination weddings, she came across the Four Seasons Bora Bora. Gazing at the beautiful pictures of this dream get away Sara thought to herself, “I want to go there”. At the same time in Texas Wade was finalizing his purchase of sailing vessel Just Drifting and beginning his dream of exploring the world. Today here we are living both of our dreams!  We arrived on Friday and nestled between the Four Seasons and St. Regis resorts. We waved a security guard on a jet ski over to our boat and he called the concierge to arrange dinner reservations for us at the new Faré Hoa Beach Grill. The evening was spectacular and beautiful. The service was exceptional. Near our restaurant was a little island out from the beach, lit with red lights, and a little umbrella sheltered eyes on shore. We learned a couple can reserve the island and is serviced by only one attendant that paddles out dinner to a private viewing of the sunset.  The rest of the weekend we went snorkeling, swimming, and soaked in the scenery. We also planted our little seedlings in Poseidon’s and King Neptune’s Garden. We very much enjoyed this anchorage, with the exception of the water taxi wakes that rocked the boat, occasionally. Now we’re off to town and Mai Kai Marine to provision up for the next leg of our journey.

Update from previous post: Sara is still working diligently organizing photos and stories, haha, we’ll get them posted. Writing has become a challenge because all she wants to do is take pictures and tell the story later, haha, hopefully she won’t forget.

Cruising Tip: We anchored in 7 1/2 feet with free Wifi at a reasonable speed with our Wifi amplifier.

Cheers,

Wade and Sara
